Her estimated worth is around £36M, but Adele is still not immune from a credit card gaffe on the high street.
As the 28-year-old candidly admitted this week, she was left 'mortified' in fashion favourite H&M recently when her card was declined in front of shoppers.
According to The Mirror, The Hello hitmaker told fans at her gig at San Jose's SAP arena in the United States about her nightmare trip to the shops while onstage.
'I went to H&M and my card got declined,' she said, laughing off the incident. 'Oh my days, pretty embarrassing
'Nobody knew it was me, but I was mortified,' the mum-of-one added, before revealing that her pet dachshund, Louie, also got into a scrape while out.
She continued: '[Then] my dog tried to claw another dog. My trip to H&M was great... but no one knew it was me so I think I'm going to get away with it.'
The playfully confession came as news broke on Thursday that Adele had been snubbed for a Mercury Music Prize in 2016.
David Bowie and The 1975 are among the favourites for a 2016 Hyundai Mercury Music Prize after the shortlist was announced in London on Thursday afternoon.
The 1975 received their nomination after winning international acclaim for their second album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, following its release in February.
Fans will know by now that behind her that her exquisite vocals and poignant song lyrics, there is a down-to-earth girl from Tottenham.
Never is it more obvious than on her Instagram - which she joined earlier this year - where she exposes her much-loved fun side and the not-so glamorous side to touring.
Now known for her winged eyeliner look, Adele showed off a very different image in two Instagram photos shared in the last month.
The Hello hitmaker goes makeup-free in the black and white snaps, taken during a break in her epic world tour.
