At least 10 people have been killed and several others injured after a flyover under construction collapsed in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata (Calcutta), officials say.
Reports suggest as many as 150 could be trapped under the concrete and steel bridge, which fell on a busy road.
Images showed residents using their bare hands to help the rescue effort.
Construction projects in India have often suffered from safety issues with frequent collapses.
Experts say there is a lack of inspections and substandard materials are used.

Details were found on a computer dumped in a rubbish bin after the attacks.

In Abuja, the nation’s capital city, workers faced serious transportation challenges on Tuesday, with many paying double the price they use to pay to their places of work.
Some workers, who spoke to Channels Television at the Federal Secretariat, urged the government to address the lingering fuel scarcity.
Others also complained of the long hours they had to wait at the bus stop before catching a bus to their offices.

The authentication was contained in a preliminary audit result released at the closing meeting of the ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) conducted on Nigeria.
The presentation was presided over by the leader of a team of the auditors, Mr Jean-Claude Waffo. He was joined by three team members to present their assessment of the aviation industry in Nigeria.
Each member gave an individual assessment of all the delineated areas – Legislation (LEG), Organisation (ORG), Accident and Incident Investigation (AIG), Air Navigational Services (ANS) and Aerodrome and Ground Aids (AGA).

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja has granted an application for variation filed by the counsel of the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh, having met all the conditions attached.
 
The judge, in his ruling, granted the application on the ground that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) failed to comply with a court order requesting it to verify the documents of the two sureties provided by the former Chief of Air Staff as part of his bail conditions.

NSA Fund Scandal: Presidential Committee Indicts Over 300 Contractors

There are more revelations from the Presidency on contracts allegedly awarded by the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) from 2011 to 2015.
 
A committee set up to examine the contract transactions has indicted more than 300 companies and prominent citizens including serving and retired officers of the Armed Forces.
According to the report, over seven billion Naira has so far been recovered from the companies and individuals.
Also another 41 billion Naira is to be refunded by the indicted companies while further investigation by the EFCC is still ongoing.
The committee has further established that one of the indicted companies was overpaid to the tune of 7.9 million euros and 7.09 million dollars.
