The role of the session is to provide a platform for the private sector, the legislature and the executive to engage in the promotion of relevant business-friendly policies. In an interview with Naij.com, the singer who was invited for the event said that being a stakeholder in the music industry, it is essential to listen to people’s opinions.
However, in his speech on the major ways in which the current economic situations affecting the entertainment industry. “Well, the current economic situation is affecting every facet of the country. When you talk about entertainment, usually things are tough, entertainment is the first thing to go because people are not in a celebratory mood. “It is a tough time but we are very optimistic about where Nigeria is going. Despite our ongoing challenges, we are optimistic that things will turn around for the better and that we will be a part of that,” he said. On diversification of the economy, knowing that the entertainment industry plays a major role in that sector, Banky W said the entertainment has a major plan to help boost that sector, adding that Nollywood is the second highest employer of people.
