A Nigerian, Suleima Isah, has emerged winner at the 18th session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award , which held on Friday 18th July 2014.
Isah defeated other contestants from Bangladesh, Qatar, Kuwait, and America in the international Quran competition of the award which comes with a prize of AED250,000 –N11 million.
The contest judges the best memorisers and reciters of Quran from participating countries
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, attended the concluding ceremony at the Cultural and Scientific Association, Mamzar, along with a number of senior officials, dignitaries, 78 Quran contestants, and members of the public.
