Federal Government Assures Pensioners Review Of Their Pensions & Gratuities

 

The Federal Government has assured pensioners of a review of their pensions and gratuities.

The Minister of Labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige who met with the Association of contributory Pensioners of Nigeria said it was constitutional to review Pensions every five years, or open increment salary.
He said having served the nation in their productive years; the Pensioners ought to be treated with dignity.
Earlier, in his address, the protem Chairman of the Association of contributory pensioners, Chief Uche Ekpo sought the help of the Minister to be registered as a trade Union.
The last increment in pension came in 2011.
