TONY Awards! See What Stars Wore and the full list of nominees

Lupita Nyong’o’s character in Eclipsed, for which she’s nominated for a Tony for best actress, wears sweaty rags onstage, but cleaned up for the red carpet in a floral gown custom designed for her by Jason Wu for Hugo Boss. (Photo: Getty Images)

In an ox blood tuxedo with a black bowtie, James Corden, the show’s host walked the red carpet. “Everything I’m wearing tonight [Anna Wintour] picked out.” In fact, he gave the Vogue editor-in-chief credit for revamping the event. “She’s incredibly influential with this whole event. She also believes — as I do — that this is a show that we absolutely should be celebrating in every way possible.” (Photo: Getty Images)

Wearing her signature sunglasses and strawberry print dress, the editrix noted that she and her staff offered to help all of the nominees get dressed and helped point them in the direction of a designer. On James Corden, who she’s championed since the beginning of his career, she said, “I think he’s such a warm and engaging person who loves the theater,” she said. “I think he’s back where he belongs and I can’t wait to see the show.” (Photo: Getty Images)

Laura Benanti, nominated for her role in Waitress, looked gorgeous in a hot pink and purple lace dress from Oscar de la Renta. Performing a number from the musical, she tweeted, “Tonight, every note I sing will be in remembrance of the lives taken in Orlando.” (Photo: Getty Images)

The man of the night, who’s personally nominated for three awards and Hamilton getting 16 noms in total, said that the “best thing about the Tonys is that we get to celebrate under the same roof as the people who make these amazing shows all year.” He added, “On a day marked by such tragedy we get to celebrate art and new works of art and new music and new plays. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.” (Photo: Getty Images)

(Photo: Getty Images)
