WAEC releases seized results of Bayelsa State students
The Bayelsa State Government says the West African Examinations Council has finally released the results of the May/June examinations for students in all public schools in the state.
The State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Makson Fefegha, said the results were posted online since last Saturday, a Government House statement said on Monday.
According to him, the release of the results followed the government’s fulfillment of an agreement it reached with WAEC, including the payment of money owed the regional examinations body.
To this end, Fefegha called on parents and students, who sat for the May/June Senior Secondary School Certificate examinations to obtain their results online.
He used the opportunity to commend parents in the state for the high level of understanding they demonstrated, stressing that the government remained committed to its policy of free and compulsory education for primary and post primary schools.
Fefegha said the payment of WAEC, National Examinations Council and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board fees had been a part of the free education policy of the Bayelsa State Government since 2012.
